MLBB Draft Simulator
Practise a full ban and pick phase against an AI that drafts from live ranked counter data. When the draft ends you get a grade and a review of every pick.
133 heroes. Data updated 2026-11-04.
Draft settings
With the timer on, a ban you run out of time for is skipped and a pick is chosen at random for a lane you still need.
In a real ranked draft? The Live Draft Counter suggests picks as your match's picks lock in.
How the draft simulator works
Choose a format, a side and how strong the AI should be, then draft a full game: every ban and every pick, in order. You draft for your whole team, so you choose all five heroes and cover all five lanes. The AI drafts the other team.
Ranked format
- Both teams ban 5 heroes at the same time, without seeing each other's bans
- Blue picks 1
- Red picks 2
- Blue picks 2
- Red picks 2
- Blue picks 2
- Red picks 1
Tournament format
- Ban phase 1: the teams take turns to ban, Blue first, 3 each
- Blue picks 1
- Red picks 2
- Blue picks 2
- Red picks 1
- Ban phase 2: the teams take turns to ban, Red first, 2 each
- Red picks 1
- Blue picks 2
- Red picks 1
Ban counts and order change between seasons and rank tiers, so check the in-game draft screen for your tier. Blue has the first pick in both formats and Red has the last, which lets Red counter-pick with no reply.
How the AI drafts
The AI uses the same engine as the Live Draft Counter, running on the current data for all 133 heroes. For every lane its team still needs, it shortlists heroes by counter matchups (weighted toward the hero it would face in lane), synergy with heroes it already has, what the team is missing, meta strength and, early in the draft, blind-pick safety: how few heroes left in the pool punish the pick.
On Hard it then takes the shortlisted hero that lowers your draft score the most. Normal usually does the same but sometimes takes the second or third option. Easy picks loosely from the shortlist without checking the score.
Bans made before any hero is picked come from the top of the meta tier list. In the tournament format's second ban phase, the AI bans the best hero left for your team. In ranked, both teams ban blind, so the AI can waste a ban on a hero you also banned, just like a real lobby.
How your draft is graded
The grade comes from the draft's advantage score, the same number the Live Draft Counter shows after Analyze. It runs from -50 to +50 and weighs counter matchups between the two teams at 50%, damage and durability at 20% each and crowd control at 10%. A positive score favours your team.
| Grade | Meaning | Advantage score |
|---|---|---|
| S | Dominant draft | +12 or higher |
| A | Your team has the advantage | above +5, below +12 |
| B | Even, leaning your way | 0 to +5 |
| C | Even, leaning their way | -5 to just under 0 |
| D | Enemy team has the advantage | below -5 |
The review then checks each of your picks twice, against every hero who plays that lane and was still available at that turn.
- At the time: each option is scored against the enemy heroes already on the board when you picked. This is the fair test of the decision, and it is exactly how hints rank their suggestions. A blind pick, made before the enemy has any hero, has nothing to score against.
- Looking back: each option is swapped into the finished draft and the whole draft is scored again, so it also counts the enemy picks that came after. A pick can be the best choice at the time and still lose points once the enemy answers it.
Against Hard, an even draft is a good result: when the AI drafts against itself on Hard, the two sides finish close to level.
Questions
Is the MLBB draft simulator free?
Yes. It is free, needs no account and runs in any browser on a phone or a computer.
What draft format does the simulator use?
Ranked: both teams ban five heroes at the same time without seeing each other's bans, then pick in a 1-2-2-2-2-1 order. Tournament: the teams take turns to ban three each, pick three each, ban two each, then pick the last two each. Ban counts and order change between seasons and rank tiers, so check the in-game draft screen for your tier.
How does the AI pick its heroes?
It uses the same engine as the MLCounters Live Draft Counter. For every lane it still needs, it shortlists heroes by counters, synergy, what the team lacks, meta strength and blind-pick safety. On Normal and Hard it then takes the shortlisted hero that does the most damage to your draft score. On Easy it picks loosely from the shortlist.
How is my draft graded?
The grade comes from the draft's advantage score, the same number the Live Draft Counter shows after Analyze. It runs from -50 to +50 and weighs counter matchups at 50%, damage and durability at 20% each and crowd control at 10%. Grade S is +12 or higher, A is above +5, B is 0 to +5, C is -5 to just under 0 and D is below -5.
How does the review judge each pick?
Each pick is checked twice against every hero who plays that lane and was still available at that turn. At the time scores each option against the enemy heroes already picked, which is how hints rank. Looking back swaps each option into the finished draft, so it also counts the enemy picks that came after.
How is this different from the Live Draft Counter?
The simulator is for practice: you draft a whole game against an AI. The Live Draft Counter is for real matches: you add the picks from your actual ranked draft and it suggests counters as they lock in.
